Last fall I visited Oakland, Maryland, for the first time to photograph Kayla and Rob’s Swallow Falls engagement session! And let me tell you, it was totally worth the drive from Pittsburgh!

First of all, Kayla and Rob were a blast to hang with. These two have a super cute connection that didn’t always involve straight faces and perfect smiles. They were great at making each other laugh by making silly faces. And they were equally as awesome at bringing the serious vibes for a few of the photos. Kayla was definitely hoping for a romantic feel, and I think the misty fall weather combined with their personalities captured that perfectly!

I actually somewhat already had a connection to this couple. Rob’s family owns Neubauer’s Flowers in Uniontown, PA, and I used to work there during college breaks. I can’t wait to see what Neubauer’s comes up with for the wedding florals, and I’m excited to see the whole family again tomorrow, as well as to meet Kayla’s family!
