Wedding: Katie & Scott

Weddings

So Katie and Scott were actually the last clients I saw for the engagement session the day before the shutdown in Pittsburgh, and then they were the first clients for their wedding once we moved to the yellow phase. I loved how it worked out. It seemed only fitting that we come full circle to get things moving again.
We were not allowed in the church, St. Benedict the Abbott in McMurray, for the ceremony, only the bride, groom, their parents, maid of honor and best man. However, their lovely family and friends got together outside to deck out their vehicle as a surprise. How awesome was that?! Katie and Scott were SO happy and excited when they exited the church and saw everyone there, socially distancing of course, to show them some love.
We were able to go back inside for a few pictures, but we did most of them on the side of the church. The landscaping and architecture was the perfect setting!
After pictures, we met the rest of the family back at Scott’s parents’ home for some cake-cutting and toasts. It was small and intimate and fun. Couples are having to adjust their plans because of what’s happening in the world now, and Katie and Scott were able to make the most of it! I am so happy I got to know them and was able to be there for their day <3.
Enjoy!
