Valley Brook Country Club Wedding

I don’t know how I live in Bridgeville and have never had a Valley Brook Country Club wedding before! Seriously, what a gorgeous golf course and venue!

Sophia and Steve celebrated their wedding among family and friends this past Saturday, July 1, 2023. I met these two back in the fall for the engagement session at Mingo Creek Park, and loved spending time with them. Sophia is so sweet and Steve is so laid back. They were adorable together, and I was excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding day, too.

We started at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Mt. Lebanon. I’ve been to this church before, but they had recently renovated an extension. We had this cute little room with antique furniture for Sophia and her girls to get ready in. Meanwhile Steve greeted guests over in the church. As the ceremony began and everyone made their way down the aisle, Steve began to tear up when he saw Sophia. As Sophia came closer with her dad, I could see she was crying, too. It was such a beautiful and vulnerable moment, and I could see in the faces of all their family how happy everyone was for them.

The golf course at Valley Brook Country Club provided such a beautiful backdrop for a few bride and groom pictures, even with the cloudy sky. After heading inside, we had another couple sweet moments where Sophia danced with her dad, who was celebrating his 90th birthday. And Steve bent down on once knee to hold his mom for their dance so she could stay seated. The night ended with lots of fun Greek dancing, and I’m happy I got to capture some of it!
